Revamped gym to be unveiled at Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre

The wraps come off the revamped gym at Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre this weekend.

The gym will re-open at 1 p.m. on Saturday 7th November, following a major refurbishment programme by operator Fife Sports and Leisure Trust.

The new-look gym has a premium feel and includes:

  • industry-leading Life Fitness, Hammer Strength and Indigo gym equipment
  • enhanced strength and functional training zones
  • bespoke squat racks
  • specialist flooring
  • new lighting and aesthetic improvements.

Paul Burke, Fife Sport and Leisure Trust’s Commercial and Business Development Manager, said:

“The look-and-feel is similar to the high specification gyms previously installed by us at our venues in Glenrothes and Cowdenbeath.

“The Kirkcaldy gym now features all new equipment and offers more ways to train. There’s also an improved layout to maximise capacity and reduce bottlenecks.”

“We hope customers enjoy the new-look gym. We thank them for their patience and support when the gym was closed and when work was being carried out.”

Following this weekend’s re-launch there will also be a gym open day at Kirkcaldy Leisure Centre on Saturday 21st November. This will run from 8 am to 2 pm.

Admission to the open day will be free of charge for both members and non-members. However, non-members will need to secure admission through Fife Sports and Leisure Trust’s pages on Eventbrite. See https://tinyurl.com/kirkcaldy-gym-event

The 21st November event will feature a live DJ, gym challenges, and the chance to win prizes.

Mr Burke added:

“As a charity, Fife Sports and Leisure Trust reinvests the income it receives from members back into the facilities we operate. Significant investment like this is made possible thanks to the support of local people. We’re sure people will love using the new-look gym.”
