The Cottage Family Centre has launched its Christmas Appeal 2026, aiming to help children and families across Kirkcaldy and the surrounding area during the festive season
The charity says Christmas can be a difficult time for many families and is appealing for support to provide gifts, warm clothing, food and essential items for children and families in the community.
As part of the appeal, the organisation is accepting donations of new clothes, pyjamas, toys, toiletries and non-perishable food for children and families aged up to 16. Due to health and safety requirements, pre-loved items cannot be accepted.
Donations can be dropped off at the charity's West Centre at 29-31 Cawdor Crescent, Kirkcaldy, KY2 6LH, or its East Centre at 34 St Clair Street, Kirkcaldy, KY1 2QE. Donations will be accepted until 5pm on Friday 18 December 2026.
The appeal is also seeking financial contributions, with monetary donations able to be made by bank transfer. Funds raised will help support local children and families during Christmas.
Launching the appeal, the charity thanked local residents for their support and highlighted the importance of helping bring joy, hope and Christmas magic to families who may otherwise struggle during the festive period. It says every child deserves a Christmas to remember.
