Following the tremendous success of last year's event, organisers have confirmed that Lang Toun Lights will return to Kirkcaldy town centre on Saturday 28 November 2026.

Jointly organised by Love Oor Lang Toun and K107FM, with support from Fife Council, the event will once again bring together residents, businesses, community groups and visitors for a day of festive celebration in the heart of the Lang Toun.

Planning is already underway for the 2026 event, with organisers aiming to build on the success of last year's programme, which attracted thousands of people into the town centre and created a vibrant festive atmosphere throughout the day.

While full details will be announced over the coming weeks, organisers have confirmed that the popular festival stage will return, featuring a programme of local acts and performers curated by Contrived Cabaret. Additional entertainment, attractions and festive activities are currently being developed and will be revealed closer to the event.

As preparations begin, organisers are issuing an early call for community organisations, charities, clubs and voluntary groups to register their interest in taking part. Lang Toun Lights provides an opportunity for local groups to showcase their work, engage with residents, recruit volunteers and celebrate the contribution they make to the local community.

Ryan Strachan of Love Oor Lang Toun said:

"The response to Lang Toun Lights in 2025 was incredible and showed just how much people value coming together to celebrate our town. We're excited to start planning for 2026 and want community organisations, charities and local groups to get involved from the outset. The event is all about showcasing the people and organisations that make Kirkcaldy such a vibrant and welcoming place."

Alex Airnes, K107FM added:

"Lang Toun Lights is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when local organisations, volunteers, performers and residents come together with a shared purpose. At K107FM, we're proud to help connect our communities and shine a light on the people, groups and stories that make the area special. We're looking forward to working with our partners to create another memorable day that celebrates Kirkcaldy at its very best."

Amby Stanyer-Hunter of Contrived Cabaret, the creative force behind last years on stage entertainment said:

“Fife is full of talented people. You just need to open your eyes and see it...But even the greatest performers in the world are nothing without an audience. Which is why we showcase these talents all year long. All throughout the year Fife is bursting with events, shows, open mic nights, band nights, dance concerts, plays, musicals and much more. We're looking forward to present so much of it at this event”

Community organisations, charities and local groups interested in participating are encouraged to register their interest now and receive updates as planning progresses.

Expressions of interest should be sent to:

Further announcements will be made in the lead-up to the event.
