Following the recent completion of vegetation clearance works along the Kinness Burn in St Andrews, Fife Council is preparing to begin a further phase of maintenance aimed at improving water flow.

Service Manager Michael Anderson explained: "As part of ongoing efforts to improve water flow ahead of the winter months, the Council will now remove built-up sediment and vegetation from a 100-metre section of the burn at Greenside Place.
"The works are scheduled to begin on Monday 26 October and are expected to take approximately two weeks to complete.
"Temporary traffic lights will be in place near the bridge at Greenside Place and Kinnessburn Road to allow the work to be carried out safely. Every effort will be made to minimise disruption, and we apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused.
"We thank local residents and road users for their patience and cooperation while these essential maintenance works are carried out."
