Cottage Family Centre seeks warehouse space to support Christmas Appeal

A Fife charity supporting vulnerable children and families is appealing to businesses, landlords and property owners to help secure a large warehouse space for its annual Christmas appeal.

The Cottage Family Centre, based in Kirkcaldy, is seeking access to a warehouse or industrial unit of approximately 5,000 to 10,000 square feet in the Kirkcaldy, Dysart or Glenrothes area to support the distribution of festive food parcels, gifts, clothing and essential household items to local families facing hardship.

The charity provides practical and emotional support to children, young people and families across Kirkcaldy and the surrounding area, many of whom are living with the challenges of poverty, disability, family breakdown, trauma and other complex circumstances.

Each year, the organisation's Christmas Appeal helps ensure local children and families have food on the table, support with essential living costs and gifts to open on Christmas morning. Last year, community support enabled the charity to help more than 1,500 children and family members across Fife.

To make the appeal possible, the charity requires a temporary logistics base throughout December. The ideal premises would offer:

• Between 5,000 and 10,000 square feet of warehouse or industrial space
• Good vehicle access for deliveries and collections
• A location ideally within Kirkcaldy, Dysart area, possibly Glenrothes
• Availability throughout December
• Basic lighting, with minimal additional requirements

The Cottage Family Centre is inviting businesses, commercial landlords, property owners and organisations with vacant industrial or warehouse space to come forward and discuss how they may be able to help.

A donated space would make a significant difference, as the appeal comes as demand for support continues to rise, with more local families experiencing financial hardship and needing assistance with food, clothing, utilities and other essential household items.

Anyone who may be able to help with suitable premises is encouraged to contact The Cottage Family Centre directly via their website at The Cottage Family Centre.
