The elusive 'Sweetie' will make a special appearance in Kirkcaldy Town Square between 5pm and 7pm today (2nd Oct) creating the first and only opportunity to see all 17 giant Wemyss Ware Cat Trail sculptures together in one place.
While the other 16 Wemyss Ware cats have been gathered in the Town Square since Wednesday, Sweetie has continued her habit of popping up unexpectedly.
Throughout the trail she roamed the region, making surprise appearances at locations around the area and even travelling on Stagecoach buses to reach some of her destinations.
The final gathering comes ahead of The Big Auction at the Adam Smith Theatre on Saturday, when all 17 sculptures will be sold to raise funds for future community projects in Kirkcaldy.
The auction, led by Bonhams Scotland Senior Valuer Hamish Wilson, features 21 lots, including the 17 giant cat sculptures and four special items, including a programme signed by all 17 artists.
Saturday's programme begins with free family activities at Every One Every Day in the Mercat Shopping Centre, including cat-themed crafts, face painting and a special "How To Be An Auctioneer" workshop hosted by Bonhams.
The cats will remain on display in the Town Square throughout the day, with a public and media photo opportunity featuring the artists and sculptures from 1pm to 1.45pm. The auction itself takes place at the Adam Smith Theatre from 2pm.
Auction tickets cost £5 and include a complimentary souvenir programme and auction guide.
The Wemyss Ware Cat Trail was organised by the Adam Smith Global Foundation withfunding from The Kirkcaldy Lottery and support from local sponsors. Inspired by Kirkcaldy's internationally renowned Wemyss Ware pottery, the trail featured 17 artist-designed giant cat sculptures displayed across the town and surrounding area throughout the summer, celebrating one of the town's most distinctive cultural icons.
