From today (9th October the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland’s (RZSS) penguin colony at Edinburgh Zoo will once again take part in their famous Wee Waddle. This experience allows visitors the chance to get up close as the gentoo, rockhopper and king penguins take a stroll along the walkway and explore the area outside of their habitat.
The wildlife conservation charity’s penguins will leave Penguins Rock to take part in feeds then waddle around part of the perimeter. During the reimagined version of the world-famous Penguin Parade discovery rangers will give talks on the zoo's three penguin species.
The procession will include much-loved characters like Sir Nils Olav, the world's highest-ranking animal and Kevin who was previously banned from the experience due to nipping at shoelaces.
Visitors can watch the Wee Waddle at Edinburgh Zoo Friday to Sunday at 2:15pm.
